Max Bird has provided Chris Davies with a thorny but welcome selection dilemma.

After a sumptuous display on his first start for Blues, yielding a goal and an assist in the 3-0 win over Millwall, Bird has firmly pressed his case for regular inclusion.

And whether that's in the number 10 role, which he interpreted with aplomb against the Lions, or deeper in midfield where he has more often played during his career.

Bird, a £2.2 million summer signing from Bristol City, has helped Blues make light of the fact that they have been without a trusted regular of Davies', Paik Seung-ho, in recent weeks.
