Max Bird's father Andrew is the driving force and motivation behind his career.

When Bird was 18, his dad died from pneumonia and sepsis after a two-week battle.

There's not been a day since when Andrew hasn't been in his thoughts.

A former England youth basketball player, who had stints with the Birmingham Bullets, Leicester City Riders and as a professional for Derby Bucks in the early 90s, Andrew encouraged his son to perform and act like he's the best around.
