A first clean sheet on the road since January underpinned Blues opening Championship match at Sheffield United.
And it was back-to-back shut-outs, following on from the 1-0 victory at Swansea City in the Carabao Cup.
It could have been even better at Bramall Lane as in a hard-fought tussle, Blues created more of the few openings that transpired.
But Chris Davies' side had to settle for a 0-0 and a point with which to begin the 2026/27 league campaign.
