Nobody needed to tell James Beadle.
After the final whistle went and players and staff from both sides congregated over halfway on the Middlesbrough side of the pitch, the Blues goalkeeper stayed put.
In the middle of his area, a hand on hip, he stared into the turf deep in thought.
It was a good several seconds before he stirred and Maik Taylor met him to offer a few words and walk with him 40 yards to the throng who were shaking hands and mingling.
